Select Relief Flights to Evacuate Stranded Passengers in Middle East

IndiGo to operate 10 relief flights from Jeddah as Air India Express, Akasa Air and SpiceJet resume select services from Muscat and UAE

March 3, 2026 - The Ministry of Civil Aviation in India has said that IndiGo will operate 10 special relief flights from Jeddah and Saudi Arabia to bring back stranded passengers to India on Tuesday (March 3). Additionally, Air India Express will resume six flights to Muscat from various Indian cities. Akasa Air announced select flights to Jeddah, while SpiceJet scheduled four special flights from Fujairah in the UAE to repatriate stranded Indians.

Flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru resumed Monday night bringing back stranded passengers. A Dubai Emirates flight landed safely in Mumbai on Tuesday.

During a three-hour window on Monday, around 16 Etihad flights departed from Abu Dhabi for Islamabad, Paris, Amsterdam, Mumbai, Moscow and London, according to reports. Emirates restarted select services Monday evening. FlyDubai operated four outbound and five inbound flights.
