Fly Your Name to the Moon on NASA Rocket

NASA is offering a unique chance to send your name around the Moon; register for a digital boarding pass before January 21 2026

Dec 4, 2025 – Want to visit the moon? Physically may be highly unlikely but you could send your name up there.

The American space agency NASA is inviting the public to sign up for its unique scheme to send their name around the Moon with its Artemis II mission. As part of the agency’s “Send Your Name with Artemis II” effort, anyone can claim their spot by signing up before January 21.

Your name will be stored on a memory card placed inside the Orion spacecraft. During the mission, your name will travel from Earth, orbit the Moon, and then return back to Earth — making it a memorable moment for participants.

Participants will have their name launched aboard the Orion spacecraft and SLS (Space Launch System) rocket alongside NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen. These astronauts will be the first humans aboard the SLS rocket, another step toward crewed missions to the lunar surface which will help NASA prepare for future astronaut missions to Mars.

How to send your name

  • Visit NASA’s Send Your Name page.
  • Enter your full name, create a 4-digit PIN, and submit it.
  • Your digital boarding pass will be generated.
  • You can download, save, or print it.

Registration is open to everyone until January 21, 2026.
