Around 85 Udaipur Pilgrims Leave for Gangasagar

The special train, organised by the Devasthan Department under its Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, left yesterday carrying 204 passengers from Udaipur and Banswara divisions; will return on December 30

Udaipur, December 25, 2024 – Under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme of the Devasthan Department, a special train departed from Udaipur to Gangasagar in West Bengal yesterday afternoon. The train was flagged off by MP Dr Mannalal Rawat, Regional Railway Manager Mahendra Depal, Udaipur Assistant Commissioner Jatin Gandhi and Rishabhdev Assistant Commissioner Deepika Meghwal from Rana Pratap Nagar railway station.

The train will reach Gangasagar tomorrow, December 26 and will return on December 30.

A total of 204 passengers from Udaipur and the Banswara divisions were on the train. The passengers included 85 from Udaipur, 28 from Rajsamand, 31 from Chittorgarh, seven from Salumber, 10 from Dungarpur and 12 from Banswara. More senior citizens boarded the train from Ajmer and Jaipur. Therefore, the train is carrying 780 passengers, plus 20 staff members including a train in-charge gazetted officer, a medical team and attendants.
