Udaipur, December 7,2024 - The much-awaited Shilpgram Festival is just 14 days away. Preparations are in their final stages, with the main gate decorated with beautiful Pithora art from Gujarat's Rathwa community. The festival, organized by the West Zone Cultural Centre, will start on December 21 and run for 10 days.
Pithora Art on Display
Artist Chitram is creating stunning paintings based on this theme, which adorn the main gate and ticket window of the festival. The art reflects the cultural identity of the Rathwa community and adds a unique touch to the event.
Final Preparations Underway
The district collector will soon finalize all arrangements and assign responsibilities to various departments to ensure the smooth running of the festival. With the new look from the main gate to the market shops, everything is set to welcome tourists.
Artists and Stalls from Across India
Artists from Rajasthan, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Tripura, Odisha, West Bengal, and many other states will showcase their work at the festival. Over 350 stalls and more than 50 food counters will be set up, offering a variety of handicrafts, art, and cuisines.
Anticipated High Tourist Footfall
The Shilpgram Festival is expected to attract around 1.5 lakh tourists this year. The rising footfall in Udaipur also supports this anticipation, promising a grand turnout at the event.
