Udaipur, December 18,2024 - A state-level event was held in Jaipur to celebrate one year of the state government. Beneficiaries from all districts were brought to the event in buses. From Udaipur, 60 buses were sent, leaving only 9 out of the scheduled 77 buses available for local routes.

Passengers Face Problems

For the past two days, passengers have been struggling due to the lack of roadways buses in Udaipur. Many buses operating on key routes were canceled. Only 9 buses could run on Tuesday, December 17,2024 causing significant inconvenience.

Routes Affected

Passengers traveling to places like Banswara, Dungarpur, Bagidora, and Pratapgarh faced difficulties. They arrived at the bus stand, only to learn that the buses were not operational. This forced them to use private vehicles for their journeys.

Limited Buses Available

The Udaipur depot has 86 buses in total, including contracted ones. However:

• 5 buses are completely unfit for use.

• 6 buses are on the verge of being condemned.

• 5 to 6 buses are under repair.

After 60 buses were sent to Jaipur, only 9 buses were left to run on local routes.

Inconvenience to Continue

According to roadways sources, some buses were expected to return late Tuesday night. However, even if they return, there won’t be enough buses to operate on all routes. Passengers may continue to face issues.
