Udaipur, June 18, 2025 – A total of 69 travellers from Udaipur will take part in the 29th National Sindhu Darshan Yatra, organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Himalaya Parivar Sanstha. They will be joined by around 5,000 participants from across the country in the spiritually and physically challenging journey.

The Yatra will begin on June 18 from Jammu, travelling through Srinagar, Sonmarg, Kargil, Leh-Ladakh and Pangong Lake, before concluding via Kullu-Manali in Kurukshetra.

The Udaipur unit of Himalaya Parivar recently organised a felicitation ceremony for the travellers at Ghoomar Garden, located in Paneriyon Ki Madri. According to State General Secretary of the sanstha Arvind Jaroli, Rajya Sabha member Chunnilal Garasiya was the Chief Guest at the event and Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena was Special Guest.

RSS department coordinator Hemendra Shrimali and key speaker Dr Bharat Bhushan Ojha stressed the Himalayan region should be kept environmentally clean and free from plastic through the efforts made during the Yatra.

MP  Garasiya shared that the Sindhu Darshan Yatra began in 1996, initiated by senior RSS pracharak Indresh Kumar and LK Advani. The purpose was to increase Indian presence in Leh-Ladakh near the China border, countering China's strategic moves. The Yatra aimed to establish nationalistic and culturally rich values in the region.

Indresh Kumar will accompany the participants on the Yatra.

Attendees included Devkishan Menaria, Devendra Dhing, Kiran Nagori, Ramesh Purohit, Dinesh Mali, Lokendra Singh Shaktawat, Jitendra Maru, Jagdish Dangi, Sanjay Bhandari, Ambalal Menaria, Mukesh Udasi, Suresh Chauhan, Gopal Kothari, and Vijay Jain.

The programme was conducted by regional organising secretary Prof Sushil Nimbark, while district president Ashok Saraswat delivered the Vote of Thanks.
