June 18, 2025 - Travellers to the Gulf may no longer need to apply for different visas for each GCC nation once the GCC Grand Tours Visa is introduced. The GCC aims for seamless regional travel with a new visa framework in final stages. With this one visa, visitors will be able to travel across six Gulf countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.

Modelled on the Schengen visa, the GCC Visa or Unified Tourist Visa is now in its final stages and expected to be launched soon. This initiative is bound to open up increased benefits of regional tourism and economic growth and redefine the Middle East as a global travel hub.

The visa announcement was made by the UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri on June 16, 2025, who shared that the Ministry of Interior and other stakeholders are now preparing for the implementation of this new document.

According to tourism experts, the Unified Tourist Visa will provide major benefits to both the region and travellers. It is expected to give a surge to tourism and hospitality by increasing visitors, boost the economics of the region and prove a boon for international travellers wanting to visit all the GCC countries.

The UAE expects 128.7 million tourists by 2030 once this visa is introduced. This is seen as a significant jump that could transform the Gulf’s position as a global travel hotspot.
