IRCTC has designed special tour packages in view of the summer vacations this year. The special tour packages include a tour to Udaipur, pilgrimage centers and North-East as well. These packages can be booked on the website of IRCTC.

In the pilgrimage package, people can visit the 4 pilgrimage centers i.e. Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Pilgrims can avail the package as per their convenience wherein they can take the 4 pilgrimage centre package at 43,850 rupees/per person which will be for 11 nights and 12 days or the 10 N/11D package which is available at 40,100 rupees/per person. There is a facility of 2 dhaam package wherein 7N/8D package is at 37,800 rupees and 6N/7D package is priced at 34,650/per person rupees. Both these packages will cover Kedarnath and Badrinath. A single trip package for Badrinath can be availed at 21,500 rupees/per person for 4N/5D. Only 20 pilgrims per group are allowed due to the pandemic. The package consists of 3-star hotel stay and food facilities.

Apart from this, a package to Udaipur and the surrounding areas has also been planned by IRCTC. This special tour package is priced at 5980 rupees/per person for 2D/3N.Nathdwara and Kumbhalgarh will also be covered and the package that begins in March. In case anyone wishes to cancel this package within 8 to 14 days prior to travel, 75 percent of the booking amount will be refunded. For cancellation between 4 to 7 days, 50 percent refund and no refund if the cancellation is requested at less than 4 days.

In May, a special package for North-East has also been planned. The 5N/6D package will cover Darjeeling, Gangtok and Kalimpong. People can enjoy the Darjeeling  tea gardens, Kalimpong valley and Tshangu Lake in Gangtok which is at n altitude of 12,400 feet. The package is priced at 32,515 rupees for which the last date of booking is 15th April. Earlier this trip used to begin in April but this year it has been delayed because of covid. As of now, 12 seats have been fixed for the package beginning on 3rd May, 23 seats for the trip beginning on 17th May and 12 seats for the trip beginning on 26th May. As per the tourism department, more trips on this route can be planned based on the interest of the tourists.
