MahaKumbh 2025 Special Train from Udaipur

Udaipur, January 8, 2025 - The Indian Railways has announced a special train from Udaipur to Prayagraj to facilitate devotees visiting Mahakumbh 2025. The train will depart on February 18, 2024, and return to Udaipur on February 23, 2024.

Train Route and Schedule

The train, operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), will pass through major stations like Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Jaipur, Mathura, Agra, and Varanasi before reaching Prayagraj.

  • February 18: Departure from Udaipur.

  • February 19: Arrival in Varanasi, attend Ganga Aarti, and stay overnight.

  • February 20: Travel to Prayagraj and stay in tents at Mahakumbh village.

  • February 21: Return to Varanasi for temple visits and overnight stay.

  • February 22: Travel to Ayodhya for Ram Janmabhoomi and Hanuman Garhi visits.

  • February 23: Return to Udaipur.

Pilgrimage Highlights

  • Prayagraj: Darshan at Kumbh Triveni Sangam.

  • Varanasi: Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Sankat Mochan, and Hanuman Temple.

  • Ayodhya: Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and Shri Hanuman Garhi.

  • They will also witness the Ganga Aarti during the journey.

Tickets are Available in Two Categories

  • Standard Category: Priced at Rs 28,340/- per person, includes AC train travel, AC accommodation, meals, and bus services.

  • Economy Sleeper Category: Priced at Rs 20,375/- per person, includes non-AC train travel, basic accommodation, meals, and bus services.

All Standard category tickets have been booked. Booking can be made on www.irctctourism.com or at the IRCTC Regional Office in Jaipur.

Special Facilities

The package includes confirmed train berths, hotel accommodations, meals, and local transportation. Passengers will also stay in tents at the Mahakumbh village in Prayagraj.

Rescheduling and Refund Policy

Initially scheduled for January 24, the train’s departure was postponed to February 18 for operational reasons. Passengers who booked for January 24 and do not wish to travel on the new date will receive a full refund, according to IRCTC’s Joint General Manager Tourism, Yogendra Singh Gurjar.
