Udaipur, March 7, 2025 - Due to Holi on March 13-14, almost all trains arriving and departing from Udaipur are fully booked. To help passengers, the railway is operating two special trains from Udaipur to Patna and Forbesganj. These trains will pass through Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Due to the non-availability of train tickets, many people are opting for flights. This has led to an increase in airfares compared to normal days.

Udaipur is a top tourist destination, and the four-day Holi weekend (March 13-16) has led to a huge demand for travel. Tickets for trains from March 8 to March 17 are completely booked. Waiting lists for regular and weekly trains range from 50 to 250. The maximum number of travelers are from Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad. Outbound trains from Udaipur are also fully booked.

Udaipur City-Patna Weekly Special

This train will run every Tuesday at 11:00 PM from March 11 to March 25. It will reach Patna at 3:30 AM on Thursday. On the return journey, it will depart from Patna every Thursday at 6:00 AM from March 13 to March 27 and will reach Udaipur City at 12:20 PM on Friday.

Udaipur City-Forbesganj Weekly Special

This train will depart from Udaipur every Tuesday at 4:05 PM on March 11 and March 18. It will reach Forbesganj (Bihar) at 5:30 AM on Thursday. The return journey will start from Forbesganj every Thursday at 9:00 AM on March 13 and March 20, reaching Udaipur at 12:40 AM on Saturday.

Even daily trains have long waiting lists. Khajuraho Express has a waiting list of up to 206 in Sleeper class. AC coaches are fully booked until the end of March.

For Delhi-bound trains, Chetak Express has a waiting list of 80 (Third AC), 45 (Second AC), and 18 (First AC) around Holi. Mewar Express is completely booked in all classes, with a waiting list of 100-150 passengers.
