TAT launches ‘Special Deal in Green Season @Samui Phangan Tao’
Offers discounts up to 60% plus other privileges for Thai and foreign visitors from now until 31 December.
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s Ko Samui Office, in collaboration with Bangkok Airways and tourism operators on Ko Samui, Ko Phangan and Ko Tao, is promoting a ‘Special Deal in Green Season @Samui Phangan Tao’ from now until 31 December, 2019.
Promotion offers discounts up to 60% plus several other privileges for Thai and foreign visitors to Ko Samui, Ko Phangan and Ko Tao as well as nearby islands; such as, Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park, Ko Nang Yuan – all well-known the world over for their picturesque scenery, pristine beaches and a wide variety of tourism activities.
There are far fewer tourists around the Ko Samui archipelago during the green season, so visitors get to enjoy shorter queues at tourist attractions and maybe a little easier to navigate transfers between islands. It is also the most relaxing and rejuvenating time to visit this beautiful area.
“This campaign intends to stimulate domestic Thai travel and also attract more foreign visitors to the islands, spreading tourism revenue and stimulating the local economy during the annual green season (October-December). It might be high season in the Andaman Sea area, but it is the low season for Ko Samui and the neighbouring islands.”NONGYAO JIRUNDORN, DIRECTOR OF TAT KO SAMUI OFFICE
Campaign also addresses the demand from all markets whereas the joint marketing promotion and publicity show the unity of the public and private sectors. They are working in a concerted effort to attract visitors plus spread tourism income evenly to all islands in the region.
Over 60 tourism operators have joined this pilot campaign showcasing the unity of the local communities to help promote tourism. To support the promotion Bangkok Airways is offering a special one-way fare starting from 1,990 Baht to Ko Samui from any of these five Thai cities; Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Pattaya (U-Tapao).
