Temporary Halt for Vande Bharat at Shamlaji Road

Indian Railways introduces a temporary halt for the Vande Bharat Express between Udaipur and Asarwa at Shamlaji Road railway station starting March 2026; check timings and details

Udaipur, March 21, 2026 - To enhance passenger convenience, Indian Railways has decided to introduce a temporary experimental halt at Shamlaji Road Railway Station for the Vande Bharat Express running between Udaipur City Railway Station and Asarwa Junction .

According to Chief Public Relations Inspector Ashok Chauhan of North Western Railway, this temporary stoppage will be effective from March 23, 2026, until further orders and details are as such:

  • Train No. 26963 (Udaipur City–Asarwa Vande Bharat Express) will arrive at Shamlaji Road at 08:28 am and depart at 08:30 am starting from March 23, 2026.
  • Train No. 26964 (Asarwa–Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express) will arrive at 07:18 pm and depart at 07:20 pm starting from March 22, 2026.

The train operates six days a week (except Tuesday):

  • Train No. 26963 departs Udaipur at 06:10 am and reaches Asarwa at 10:25 am.
  • Train No. 26964 departs Asarwa at 05:45 pm and reaches Udaipur at 10:00 pm.

Now, train no. 26963 and train no. 26964 will have four stoppages instead of three - Zawar Mines, Dungarpur, Shamlaji Road and Himmatnagar.
