According to a recent report, a growing number of Indians are opting for solo trips to destinations such as the UAE, Egypt, Singapore, and Vietnam.
As per a report by the online visa application platform Atlys, around 65% of visa applications for the UAE, 60% for Egypt, 40% for Singapore, and 45% for Vietnam were from solo travelers. The report is derived from visa applications processed through the Atlys platform for travel scheduled during the approaching summer season of this year. Atlys is a mobile visa application app that facilitates e-visa processing for more than 133 countries.
According to the report, about 20% of visa applications for group tours were for the UAE, 30% for Egypt, 25% for Singapore, and 20% for Vietnam. The report also revealed that the majority of visa applicants were men, constituting 77% for the UAE and 71% for Singapore. Additionally, the report noted that 30% of female travelers applied for Singapore visas and 25% applied for visas to the UAE.
As per the report, travelers from Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad showed a preference for Dubai, whereas most visa applications for Vietnam originated from Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.
The report mentioned that travelers from cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi favored visiting Singapore, while those from Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi showed considerable interest in traveling to Egypt.
