The meeting of Tourism Development Committee came up with new proposals for tourism development in Udaipur. The meeting was organized under presidency of district collector and officials of other administrative departments.

The meeting of Tourism Development Committee came up with new proposals for tourism development in Udaipur. The meeting was organized under presidency of district collector and officials of other administrative departments.

Ashutosh Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur, emphasized finding possibilities of night food court for tourists and locals. He mentioned to increase time limit of existing Shukhadia Circle’s food court, so that tourists can find food even during late night. The entire tourist spots including Sukhadia Circle must be installed with proper lighting facilities, repairing of fountains must be given due preferences.

Pednekar further instructed officials to identify locations to develop ‘Camping Sites’ for Adventure Tourism in city. On the other side, illegal encroachments by the road side must be removed effectively.

District Collector in this meeting considered development of Ahar Museum, through showcasing proper display of recently discovered ‘Pandulipi’. UIT would spend Rs.32 lac over the project, necessary instructions is been given to related engineer.

Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) received orders of re-starting cycling at Fatehsagar and present complete report of City Tour Operations. Private operators must also be involved in the Cycling project, added Ashutosh Pednekar. Sewerage channels especially in congested areas must be covered with iron bars, added district collector.

Pedenkar stressed on equipping sign boards across city with both Hindi and English, so as to increase understandability among tourists about various places. He also mentioned due promotion of both Horse and Camel rides in the city.
