GoAir has been re-christened to GoFirst. The change in name is not the only amendment the airline has brought to the table. With this re-branding exercise, the airline also promises customers to fly them cheaper than before and is placing itself in the budger airline slot. The rebranding has been done with an intention to become the least cost airline in India.
Increasing its reach across Indian destinations, the travellers from and to Udaipur will also reap benefits of this re-branding exercise. A320 aircrafts make up most of the Indian LCC carriers and they consist of better and more comfortable seating arrangements. GoFirst is flying many such aircrafts across Indian destinations. Increasing volume in terms of low cost aircraft and passengers through rock bottom prices will enable GoFirst to spearhead its growth in the domestic segment and surge ahead of competition in the coming years.
International Brand Consulting USA, in 2019, has already identified GoFirst as teh most reilable brand among Indian carriers. GoFirst, in its statement to media said that it is committed to adapt to Socio-economic momentum in its tryst to enter the next orbit of growth.
Vice Chairman of GoFirst, Ben Baldanza, in his statement to the media said that the carrier is excited on the re-branding of GoAir to GoFirst. He added that in the growing airline market in India, the consumers have become more conscious of values. When it comes to the flying experience, the expectations are extremely high. Considering these changing perceptions and choices, GoFirst has kept in mind that attractive fares, sanitized and clean aircrafts and timely performance will be the factors of growth for the future.
CEO Kaushik Khona added that during the last 15 months since the pandemic raised its ugly head, air carriers globally faced tough times. GoFirst showed immense and extraordinary flexibility during these times and is focussing on the opportunities ahead. He added that everyone at GoFirst is ready to launch the re-branded platform with enthusiasm and is keen to convert the dreams of customer into reality.
