With the colorful festival of Holi approaching on March 24, 2024, travellers are gearing up for celebrations. However, as is common during festive seasons, airlines have begun raising their fares, much to the dismay of passengers. The doubling of fares has added strain to travel budgets, highlighting the trend of increased airfares during festive periods. The fares have been doubled, putting extra strain on people's travel budgets.

Udaipur has emerged as a globally renowned city, earning numerous prestigious titles for its tourism sector. With millions of tourists flocking to the city every month, its popularity continues to soar. Notably, Udaipur has been featured in Travel Triangle's esteemed list of Top 10 Cities for Holi celebrations, further solidifying its reputation as a sought-after destination for festivals.

For instance, the fare for a flight from Udaipur to Ahmedabad has jumped by up to Rs 7,000. Similarly, travellers flying from Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal, and Indore have been hit with fare increases ranging from Rs 3,000 to 5,000. Despite these steep hikes, there appears to be a lack of oversight, as neither any regulating agency nor the Civil Aviation Ministry has taken action to address the issue.

Currently, Udaipur is connected to nine cities through 21 flights. Among these, there are eight flights to Delhi, five to Mumbai, and two to Jaipur. Additionally, there is only one flight each to Surat, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Indore, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.
