Udaipur Airport Ranks 3rd in Customer Satisfaction
The airport's continued focus on passenger satisfaction and facility upgrades demonstrates its aspiration to reclaim the top spot in upcoming ranking

Udaipur, January 18, 2025 - Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur, has climbed to 3rd position in the Airports Authority of India’s (AAI) customer satisfaction rankings, released on January 16, 2025. The airport’s impressive leap from 8th place last year makes it one of the top-performing airports among 62 across India.
Top 5 Airports: Gaggal Tops the List
Among the top five airports, Gaggal Airport in Kangra secured the first position, setting the benchmark for customer satisfaction. Udaipur Airport’s improved ranking highlights its commitment to providing an enhanced passenger experience.
Parameters Behind Customer Satisfaction Rankings
The rankings are determined by several parameters, including cleanliness, parking, baggage delivery speed, washroom and trolley facilities, check-in process, security measures, staff behavior, and availability of flight information. Additional factors like Wi-Fi, restaurants, food facilities, ATMs, money exchange, shopping options, lounges, and the overall airport environment also play a significant role.
Continuous Efforts to Enhance Passenger Experience
Airport Director Yogesh Nagaich emphasized the ongoing efforts to improve passenger services. Over the past year, several new facilities have been introduced. These include three VIP lounges, new seating arrangements accommodating over 600 passengers, upgraded restrooms, and an electric massage parlor. A free kids’ playzone, "Bal Chaupal," was recently opened for children up to three years of age. Passengers can also enjoy new restaurants and shops selling clothing and handicrafts.
Rajasthan Airports in the Rankings
While Udaipur shined, other airports in Rajasthan also received attention. Kishangarh Airport secured the 23rd position, surprising many. Jodhpur Airport ranked 32nd, followed by Jaisalmer at 36th. Udaipur Airport, which held the top spot nationwide from 2020 to 2022, experienced a slight drop to second place in 2023 before reclaiming its position in the top three this year.
