Maharana Pratap Airport is witnessing new developments, enhancing its facilities and services for travellers. With an aim to provide a more comfortable and convenient experience, the airport has introduced numerous upgrades and expansions.Udaipur airport welcomes many passengers from around the world every month, especially since air travel has increased significantly after the COVID-19 period.

15 New Shops and Counting

This year, the airport has already opened 15 new shops within the current terminal, offering various products including food, toys, clothing, and handicrafts. Additionally, preparations are in full swing to establish 15 more shops at the airport. Responding to the growing demand for premium amenities, the airport has increased the number of VIP lounges from two to four. 

Enhanced Passenger Facilities

In line with efforts to enhance passenger comfort, the airport is gearing up to introduce additional seating options. Sofas have been placed, replacing traditional chairs, to provide travellers with more relaxed seating arrangements.

New Bathrooms and Infrastructure Improvements

Furthermore, the airport is making strides in improving its infrastructure. Two new bathrooms are currently under construction and are expected to be operational within the next two months. Additionally, the process of allocating 145 acres of land for airport expansion has commenced, ensuring adequate space for future developments.

Expansion of Parking Facilities

To accommodate the increasing number of aircraft, parallel taxi tracks and new ramps are being constructed for aircraft parking. Once completed, the new ramps will offer parking spaces for up to 66 aircraft. 

Ultra-Modern Integrated Terminal Underway

Construction work has commenced on a state-of-the-art integrated terminal at the airport. With an estimated cost of Rs 887 crores. By the end of the year, the foundation will be laid.
