Udaipur, January 10, 2025 - Udaipur's Maharana Pratap Airport will soon introduce a paperless check-in facility. This initiative is part of the Digi Yatra program, aimed at providing a faster and smoother check-in experience for passengers. The Digi Yatra service allows passengers to scan their face at the airport, granting them entry without needing a boarding pass or ID.
Faster and Convenient Check-In
This service will reduce check-in time from 20-30 minutes to just 5-10 minutes, making travel more efficient for air travelers. Passengers will need to upload their details on the Digi Yatra app, where their personal information will be securely stored.
The Digi Yatra service is expected to begin by the end of 2025, and the process is currently underway. The Airport Authority of India has selected Udaipur Airport for the launch of this service.
According to Airport Director Yogesh Nagich, the first step will be to issue a tender for the necessary equipment for this facility. Afterward, the equipment will be installed, and staff will be trained to ensure smooth operation.
