Expansion of Udaipur Airport: Private land holdings to be acquired

A two day public hearing for acquiring around 145 acres of land around the airport premises will be held from December 19

Udaipur, December 9: Action is proposed to acquire private land in the areas adjacent to the existing Maharana Pratap Airport. The proposal aims to allocate an additional 145 acres of land to the Airports Authority of India for the proposed development and expansion of Udaipur Airport. To facilitate this, a 2-day public hearing will be organized for the stakeholders/landholders of the affected area from December 19.

Ramesh Sirvi, SDM Mavli said that the affected area will include the revenue villages of Dabok, Ganoli of Mavli Tehsil, Tus Dangiyan, Rawatpura, Tus and Mandesar in Udaipur district. Both types of land, With Title ('Khaatedari') as well as Without Title ('Benaami') land holdings will be acquired in public interest for the development and expansion of the Airport. An additional 145 acres of land will be allotted to the Airports Authority of India.

Therefore, as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act and as per the State Government rules in this regard, a public hearing will be organised in Gram Panchayat, Dabok on Thursday, December 19 at 3pm, in which the affected stakeholders/landholders of Village Dabok and Ganoli will be able to participate. On Friday, December 20, the affected stakeholders/landholders of Tus Dangiyan, Rawatpura, Tus and Mandesar will participate in the hearing at 3pm in Gram Panchayat Tous Dangiyan.
