Udaipur Airport Summer Schedule May Impact Travellers
Major changes expected at Maharana Pratap Airport Udaipur from March 29 to October 26, 2026; flights to Delhi may drop from 8 to 4, Mumbai flights may reduce and Indore route could be discontinued
Udaipur, March 16, 2026 - The number of flights operating from Maharana Pratap Airport (Dabok) may see a significant reduction under the new summer schedule that will be effective from March 29 to October 26, 2026.
Currently, under the winter schedule, eight daily flights to Delhi are being operated. However, in the new summer schedule, this number may be reduced to only four flights. IndiGo and Air India may operate two flights each from Udaipur to Delhi.
Similarly, the number of flights to Mumbai, which currently stands at eight, may be reduced to five. The Indore flight may be discontinued, while only one flight to Bengaluru may remain available. The absence of a flight to Indore, an important route, may prove a setback for the business community.
On the Udaipur–Jaipur route, the two flights currently in operation are likely to continue in the new schedule, although their timings may change significantly. At present, the flight departing from Jaipur at 6:50 am may depart at 10:20 am under the summer schedule and is expected to land at Dabok Airport in Udaipur at 11:25 am.
Similarly, the evening flight from Jaipur to Udaipur may also see a 45-minute change in its schedule. It may now arrive earlier than before, reaching Udaipur at 5:50 pm.
This reduction in flights will directly affect passengers who regularly travel to cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru for work or medical treatment. With the number of flights being reduced by nearly half, passengers may face difficulties in ticket bookings. There is also a possibility of an increase in airfares, along with challenges in getting connecting flights.
No new flights have been announced which is also disappointing for those hoping for direct flights to cities like Pune and Kolkata. Passengers will have to continue to travel via Delhi or Mumbai, which will increase both travel time and cost. Travel agents claim this may impact tourism in the region. Airlines say the schedule has been determined based on demand and available resources, say reports.
