Udaipur, January 31, 2025 - A Tourist Information Center will soon be set up at Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur, for the convenience of domestic and foreign tourists. The Tourism Department has written to the airport administration regarding this, and the process of allocating space has begun. At the center, tourists will get details about local art, culture, history, attractions, cuisine, and more. The center will have tourism literature available for visitors. Currently, no permanent tourism office exists at the airport, and tourists rely on temporary desks set up during major events.
The Tourist Information Center will be developed in the arrival hall of the airport, covering 11 square meters. The Tourism Department will pay a rent of Rs 775 per square meter per month for the allocated space. Officials will be appointed at the headquarters level to provide tourism-related information.
Recently, Deputy CM Diya Kumari visited Udaipur and asked the department to develop tourist facilities at the airport. MP Mannalal Rawat also discussed setting up the center to boost tourism. After these discussions, the initiative was started. Deputy Director of Tourism Department, Shikha Saxena said that the Touriast Information Center will provide complete details to visitors and benefit the entire tourism industry of Rajasthan.
The Tourist Information Center is expected to be ready within two to three months. This will ensure that tourists, including VIP visitors from India and abroad, receive authentic information about Udaipur and other districts.
