Udaipur–Asarva Vande Bharat Flagged Off; Six-Day Service from Feb 18
The first Vande Bharat Express between Udaipur and Ahmedabad (Asarva) was inaugurated on Feb 16, 2026; regular six-day service starts from Feb 18
Udaipur, Feb 16, 2026 - Today, February 16 marks a milestone in the railway connectivity between Udaipur and Asarva with the launch of the first Vande Bharat between the two junctions. The Udaipur–Asarva (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat inaugural train was flagged off from the Udaipur City railway station today by Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria.
A flag-off ceremony was held at the City railway station attended by several dignitaries and representatives from Mewar along with Governor Kataria. Train No. 09663, Udaipur City–Ahmedabad (Asarva) Vande Bharat Express was operated as a one-way Inaugural Special Service train and will reach Ahmedabad (Asarva) at 5:15 pm. This train did not carry ordinary passengers.

Onboard the inaugural service were invitees which included media representatives and schoolchildren, apart from officials. The guests rode the train from Udaipur City to Zawar. The invitees then deboarded the train at Zawar railway station.
Starting February 18, the Udaipur City–Ahmedabad (Asarva) Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week - from Wednesday to Monday except Tuesday.
- Train No. 26963 will depart Udaipur City at 6:10 am and reach Asarwa at 10:25 am.
- Train No. 26964 will depart Asarva at 5:45 pm and reach Udaipur City at 10:00 pm.
En route, the train will halt for two minutes each at Zawar, Dungarpur and Himmatnagar railway stations.

The regular service will have seven AC Chair Car (CC) coaches and one Executive AC Chair Car (EC) coach.

- CC fare: Rs 900
- EC fare: Rs 1680 (with breakfast)
Asarva to Udaipur
CC fare: Rs 1065
- EC fare: Rs1875 (with meal)
