The Rajasthan Tourism along with the Central Government's 'Incredible India' campaign are spearheading efforts to attract visitors to the state. Udaipur has witnessed a notable increase in tourist arrivals, fueled by its picturesque lakes now brimming with beauty. Three years ago, Rajasthan invited the country's top five travel bloggers to promote monsoon tourism, focusing on Udaipur, Rajsamand, and Banswara as key destinations.

Udaipur emerges as a prime destination during the monsoon, when lush green hills become a magnet for tourists. This season is ideal for embarking on a scenic road trip from Udaipur, offering breathtaking views along the way.

Udaipur has experienced a high influx of tourists this year despite the heatwave conditions. With the onset of the monsoon season in the city, tourists from Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and other places have already begun arriving. Hotel bookings started a month ago, and various hotels have launched their packages decided for the monsoon season.

During the monsoon, Udaipur offers several attractions worth visiting such as Fateh Sagar, Badi Lake, Rayta,Lake Pichola etc. Visitors also enjoy spending time near the lakeshores in the old city, which is dotted with charming cafes and restaurants. Recently, several eco-destinations have opened up in Udaipur, offering opportunities for nature walks and adventure activities. Many tourists prefer road trips around Udaipur and its outskirts.

Scenic Road Trips

Travelling from Udaipur to Nathdwara, Kumbhalgarh, and Mount Abu unveils stunning mountains and natural vistas. Monsoon transforms the journey with waterfalls cascading along the highways to Mount Abu and Kumbhalgarh, creating a picturesque experience akin to clouds settling amidst the mountains. This route is revered as Rajasthan's Most Scenic Route, now promoted extensively by Rajasthan Tourism and Incredible India.
