Udaipur-Delhi Flights Cancelled Owing to Fog; Airport Issues Advisory
Three Udaipur–Delhi flights were cancelled on Dec 29 because of dense fog in Delhi; Udaipur airport authorities advise passengers to check flight status
Udaipur, Dec 30, 2025 - Dense fog in Delhi has disrupted a number of flights in-and-out of the national capital leading to the airport issuing an advisory to passengers to check flight status before leaving for the airport. Udaipur airport authorities, too, have advised passengers to follow the same guidelines.
Thick winter fog blanketed several parts of north India on Monday (December 29) resulting in air and rail traffic disruption.
“Due to dense fog, flight operations are currently under CAT III conditions, resulting in flight disruptions. Please be assured, our on-ground officials are working closely with all stakeholders to assist passengers and provide necessary support across Terminals. For the latest flight updates, please contact your respective airlines. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused, ” the advisory issued by the Delhi Airport reads.
Udaipur had its fair share of cancellations, too, with three flights operating on the Udaipur–Delhi route from Maharana Pratap Airport (Dabok) being cancelled on Monday. Additionally, one Indore flight was cancelled owing to “operational reasons”.

At Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport around 128 flights were cancelled on Monday morning while eight were diverted because of zero-visibility fog.
According to Udaipur airport authorities, poor visibility in Delhi led to the decision to cancel flight operations in the interest of passenger safety. The sudden cancellations caused inconvenience to passengers, especially those with connecting flights. Several passengers also faced difficulties regarding alternative flight arrangements and refund processes.
Airport administration has advised passengers to confirm their flight status before leaving for the airport.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red alert for dense-to-very-dense fog in Delhi and at several places in north India. The IMD has also warned that dense fog conditions may persist during morning hours in the coming days, which could further impact flight operations.
