In Udaipur, new eco-tourism destinations are scheduled to open on June 24, 2024 offering exciting opportunities for tourists to enjoy in nature. These attractions include Luv Kush Vatika at Dudh Talai, the Butterfly Park within Mewar Biodiversity Park at Amberi, a Children's Park, and adventurous activities in the Valley of Flowers (Nagar Van Udhyan).
Udaipur, which already attracts over 1 lakh tourists every month, has eagerly awaited the opening of these new tourism spots, addressing a long-standing demand from locals and visitors alike. The addition of these eco-friendly destinations is anticipated to further elevate the city's allure as a premier tourist destination.
Eco-Tourism Spots Inauguration
Prepared by the Forest Department, these eco-tourism spots near the city are set to be inaugurated in a ceremony on Monday, with the event scheduled from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The inauguration will be officiated by Governor of Assam Gulab Chand Kataria accompanied by Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma. This initiative is expected not only to enhance tourism experiences but also to increase revenue for the Forest Department.
Nagar Van Udhyan (Valley of Flowers)
The Forest Department has developed an Adventure Park in the Valley of Flowers, Chirwa, at a cost exceeding Rs 50 lakh. It has a 150-meter-long sky cycling track and facilities for wall climbing, offering stunning views of the valley and the highway. Ticket prices for sky cycling are Rs 100/- for a one-way trip and Rs 150/- for a round-trip. Wall climbing tickets are priced at Rs 50/- each, and the swing rental fee is set at Rs 150/-.
Luv Kush Vatika
The Forest Department has developed Luv Kush Vatika in Machhla Magra, near Dudh Talai, at a cost of Rs 2 crore. It features the Laxman Swing. The entry fee is Rs 20/- per person, with an additional Rs 10/- per child for access to the kids zone. Entry is free from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the morning.
Mewar Biodiversity Park (Butterfly Park)
A children's park has been established in the Mewar Biodiversity Park at a cost of approximately Rs 25 lakh. It features more than 10 activities for children, and the entry ticket for children is Rs 50/-. Additionally, a Butterfly Park covering about 5 hectares has been developed at a cost of around Rs 50 lakh . Visitors will be able to observe over 30 species of butterflies here. Notably, a separate entry ticket for the Butterfly Park is not required.
Ubeshwar Picnic Spot
In Udaipur, the Forest Department is preparing to establish 5 picnic spots, with their foundation stone set to be laid soon. These spots will feature terraced picnic areas where beautiful waterfalls will flow continuously.
