Udaipur-Himmatnagar Rail Track Electrification Launch by PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate a power project in Udaipur and Rajasamand nursing college

Udaipur, May 22, 2025 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to virtually formally inaugurate the electrification of the 210-kilometre Udaipur-Himmatnagar track along with other railway electrification projects today, May 22, during his visit to Bikaner district in Rajasthan.
He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects across various parts of the country. These include the launch of a power project in Udaipur and the inauguration of a nursing college in Rajsamand.
Electrification of the Udaipur-Himmatnagar track has been completed at a cost of Rs 194.29 crore. Electric train operations have already commenced on this route in recent months.
