The launch of the third Vande Bharat train in Rajasthan is currently pending, as the Railway authorities await a signal from New Delhi to commence operations. While the initial plan was to inaugurate the train on August 15, 2023, the lack of an official announcement from the Railway Board led to a postponement. The train's rolling stock, procured from Chennai, was transported to Udaipur. Subsequently, swift trial runs were conducted for the Udaipur-Jaipur route.

The commencement of the train's operations is contingent upon receiving approval from the Railway Board. Sources within the railway sector have indicated that the train may begin service following the successful completion of trial runs, but a definitive understanding will only emerge once the official schedule is released. As preparations continue for the launch of the Vande Bharat train between Udaipur and Jaipur, there is a growing curiosity regarding its route, fare structure, and pricing of particular interest is the rental cost, which holds significant importance. For context, the standard third AC fare on the regular Udaipur-Jaipur train is approximately Rs. 800.

The trial run of Rajasthan's third Vande Bharat train, operating between Udaipur and Jaipur, was successfully conducted on Sunday. The train completed a distance of 400 km in 6 hours and 40 minutes, maintaining an average speed of 110 km/h. However, during the trial, it arrived at Jaipur around 2:30 pm, which was approximately 30 minutes later than the scheduled time. On the return journey, the train departed from Jaipur at approximately 4:30 pm, running behind schedule by about 30 minutes. Surprisingly, it managed to arrive at platform number 5 of Udaipur's city station at 9:56 pm, 4 minutes ahead of the expected schedule.
