Udaipur, July 10, 2025 - A major accident was averted owing to the timely action taken by the loco pilot of the Udaipur-Kamakhya Express (Train No. 19615) after a coach derailed on its way to Nagpur. The incident happened in Katihar, Bihar, when the pantry car of the Udaipur-Kamakhya Express came off the track.
According to information, the Udaipur-Kamakhya Express was heading toward Nagpur when the wheels of its pantry car derailed near Dandkhora station on the Katihar railway section in Bihar. As the wheels came off the track, the train experienced a jolt, causing panic among the passengers onboard. The wheels continued dragging along the track for some distance before the loco pilot was alerted and immediately stopped the train, thereby preventing a serious mishap.
Upon receiving information about the incident, local railway officials arrived at the spot. After inspecting the train, it was cleared to resume its journey after some time. An investigation into the cause of the derailment has been initiated.
