Udaipur, January 7, 2025 - Udaipur is all set to inaugurate the state's second Lion Safari and the first Reptile House this month. The foundation for a Giraffe Enclosure will also be laid, which is expected to open later this year.

The entrance fee for the Lion Safari will be separate from the Sajjangarh Biological Park and Sajjangarh Palace. Initially, the fee is set at Rs 160/- per person. The safari will operate with gypsies having a capacity of six, seven, or eight tourists during its first phase. A five-kilometer pathway has been built for vehicles within the safari.

The safari will feature a pair of Asiatic lions, Samrat and Sunayna, brought from Sakkarbaug Zoological Park in Gujarat. Visitors will be able to see the lions roaming freely. In the future, the safari will breed the lions to increase their population. For this, 10 holding areas have been prepared.

A special viewpoint called Cloud 9 will offer visitors a view of the city. The completed Lion Safari and the Reptile House are part of the new development at Sajjangarh Biological Park.
