Gulab Bagh, also known as Sajjan Niwas Garden, is a beautiful green zone that draws both visitors and residents of the city of Udaipur. The garden is plus with trees and vegetation and is the lungs of Udaipur. Apart from the flora and fauna in the Bagh, there are several interesting places to see in Gulab Bagh, such as Kamal Talai, the Saraswati Bhavan Library, the Navlakha Mahal, and the Gulab Bagh Zoo. Visitors to Gulab Bagh will receive a brand-new gift as Navlakha Mahal undergoes an inside and exterior renovation. The inauguration ceremony of the renovated Navlakha Mahal was held on February 26, 2023. Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat was among the eminent persons invited for the ceremony.
Arya Samaj maintains a place of worship called Navlakha Mahal or Navlakha Palace in Gulab Bagh. This is located at the garden's most central location. This is regarded as one of the locations where Arya Samaj founder Dayananda Saraswati spent his spiritual life. The painting gallery is still present, but a new additions were made that included a museum. The palace's entrance cost is Rs. 30, and the price for students is Rs. 20.
According to Ashok Arya from the institution, the renovation of this new tourist destination took 3 years. At the Navlakha Palace, each state's culture is represented, and an adjacent gallery tells the tales of the Ramayana, Krishna, valiant martyrs, and several sages. There are several items outside the palace that feature the Maharana Pratap tableau. A gallery of national heroes and various texts are seen upon entering the palace, together with the culture. Two guards will be posted within the palace to tell visitors about Navlakha Mahal facts.
