Udaipur, June 12, 2025 - Under the Devasthan Department’s Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme 2025, a special train with 776 pilgrims will depart on June 16 at 4:30 pm, heading towards Rameswaram-Madurai. These pilgrims are from among the remaining selected candidates from the 2024-25 phase of the scheme.
From Udaipur district, there are a total of 197 people who will be part of the pilgrimage. There are 579 pilgrims from Chittorgarh and Pratapgarh districts .
An air-conditioned train has been arranged to ensure a comfortable journey, as per the budget announcement. Named Rajasthan Vahini Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, it reflects Rajasthan's nature and culture, and is decorated to reflect the culture and heritage of Rajasthan, including forts, temples and folk art.
All selected passengers are being intimated about the details for their departure and journey. For the duration of the eight-day journey, the Devasthan Department will take care of lodging, food and other travel arrangements.
Udaipur passengers have been instructed to report at Rana Pratap Nagar railway station by 11:00 am. Chittorgarh and Pratapgarh pilgrims must report at Chittorgarh railway station by 2:00 pm.

A train-in-charge will be responsible for overall coordination. Each coach will have two government employees designated as instructors to assist passengers. Medical care will be provided by one doctor and two nursing staff who will monitor passengers’ health throughout the journey.
