Udaipur, Nov 11, 2025 – Nestled amidst shimmering lakes and majestic Aravalli hills, Udaipur has once again proven why it is a crown jewel of Rajasthan’s tourism landscape. With record-breaking visitor numbers in October 2025 and a stacked calendar of festivals and celebrations lined up through December, the city is poised to welcome travellers from across India and around the world. And it is quite likely to break the previous year’s record of tourists in the city.
As per the data provided by the Udaipur Tourism Department, last year, 20,10,650 tourists visited Udaipur. However, in 2025, till October we have already had 16,59,603 visitors with the peak tourist months of November and December still to come.
If you look at November, Udaipur is set to witness a series of celebrity weddings as part of the busy wedding season. Amid these celebrations, the Tourism Department will organise the Kumbhalgarh Festival from December 1 to 3, showcasing Rajasthani art, music, and culture.
Following that, the popular Shilpgram Festival will be held from December 21 to 30. This annual fair attracts more than 1,50,000 visitors each year. During this festive period, several other events like the World Music Festival and the Flower Show will also take place.
October 2025 proved to be a historic month for tourism this year, breaking records of the past one and a half decades. There was not only a massive rise in domestic tourists but also a remarkable surge in foreign visitors. Throughout the month, the city’s hotels, resorts, heritage sites and markets remained vibrant and bustling with activity.
Additionally, during Diwali, tourists from Gujarat and several other States thronged the city for sightseeing.
According to data released by the Tourism Department, a total of 233,000 domestic tourists and 17,145 foreign tourists visited Udaipur in October 2025 — the highest number in the past 15 years. The number of foreign tourists had dropped sharply during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is now on the rise again. In both October 2024 and October 2025, the count of international visitors has shown a healthy recovery. Tour groups from France, the USA, the UK, Germany and Australia were among the leading ones to visit Udaipur.
From heritage palaces and bustling markets to immersive craft fairs and global music celebrations, Udaipur is gearing up for a festive winter season.
