The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) is set to organize bus services for pilgrims visiting the Ram Lalla Temple. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma convened a meeting on Sunday, January 21,2024 with officials to discuss the arrangements. The proposed bus routes will connect Ayodhya with the divisions of Udaipur, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kota and Ajmer.
Following the Chief Minister's meeting, officials have initiated the process of developing a detailed route plan for the bus operations. The scheduled commencement date for these bus services is February 1, 2024.
The journey from Udaipur to Ayodhya covers a distance of 1200 kilometers. A single bus will operate on this route, providing a direct connection from Udaipur to Ayodhya. However, the allocation of buses to the seven divisions across the state is still pending.
Hemant Sharma, the regional manager, informed that the route for bus operations to Ayodhya is currently being finalized. The aim is to design a route that encompasses more areas, making it convenient for additional pilgrims to visit Ayodhya. These efforts are geared towards enhancing accessibility and facilitating a smoother pilgrimage experience.
Buses from Udaipur to Haridwar are running smoothly through the Roadways. However, right now, the buses can only go up to Jaipur due to restrictions on newer BS-6 vehicles entering Delhi. Since January 1, 2024 even older BS-4 vehicles are not allowed in Delhi. But with new buses coming in, soon the full route service for passengers might start again.
