Udaipur Bird Festival is scheduled to be held from 9 - 12 January this year. The much awaited nature check for the City of Lakes is expected to witness the aerial guest visitors specially from the northern part of the globe. Birds have begun to fly in towards the Udaipur region and can be seen at Picchola and Fatehsagar apart from the scenic lake at Menar.

Chief Conservator of Forests, B Praveen said that the decades first bird festival will highlight the region as the Best Birdwatching Destination and preparations for the same are underway at the department level.

Praveen also added in his address to media that bird and nature lovers will witness a plethora of birds and butterflies themed postal stamps workshop during this festival.
