Udaipur to have sea-plane services??

-Sea-plane is not a good idea for Badi Lake.

-Udaipur Tourism will get a new dimension.

A new project is on the cards for Udaipur city. The project has its pros and cons and every aspect needs to be looked into with great care. This new project is the facility of sea-plane for the lakes of Udaipur region.

The sea-plane services started in Gujarat’s Sabarmati River front with the technical support of Airport Authority of India and economic support from the Ministry of Aviation is now coming to Udaipur. The plan is to start sea-plane services for Badi Lake, Jaisamand Lake and Rajsamand Lake because these lakes have witnessed landing of sea-planes in the past.

The representatives of Airport Authority are going to survey all the lakes of Mewar for assessing the feasibility of starting sea-plane services. It is being hoped that the tourism industry of Udaipur will get a new boost and dimensions with the beginning of sea-plane services. Tourists visiting Gujarat, Kashmir, Delhi, Haridwar, etc. will be able to visit Udaipur via sea-plane. The airport director informed that the water airdromes will be prepared after the directives issued by the authorities.

It is yet another and a very important fact that cannot be overlooked is that opposition for sea-plane in Badi Lake has already begun. As per the former CCF of Forest Department, Rajasthan High Court had imposed a ban on all commercial activities in Badi Lake so as to conserve Mahseer fish in the lake. The sea-plane service in Badi Lake will go against the court’s orders.

Prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar has expressed that sea-plane services will be a good opportunity to connect with other places in the country. This service will a grand step in increasing tourism in Udaipur and hotel and tourism industry will get back on tracks with the beginning of this new project.
