Udaipur is one of the five cities that have been identified by Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) for holding gala events during the inaugural Incredible India Heritage Festival & Mart. The festival is planned between April 8 to 22, 2017.

The fifteen-day festival and mart will connect all heritage hotels and destinations in the country. IHHA has released 27 different travel itineraries covering a circuit or a region for domestic and international trade partners to choose from. During this period, association will hold gala events in Kochi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Baroda.

As per Abhay Mangaldas, Executive Committee Member, IHHA and Coordinator, Incredible India Heritage Festival and Mart 2017, “the initiative is the first major step towards opening up heritage tourism in India and promote heritage hotels spread across the country”.

He further added that the current itineraries are just indicative and a website would be created specifically for the Mart and Festival, through which information about updated itineraries will be communicated.
