Udaipur, November 29, 2024 - Starting December 1, a new bus service will be launched by Udaipur bus depot which will cover the distance between Udaipur and Jaipur in just seven hours. This is even faster than travelling the distance by train. Train travel time between Udaipur and Jaipur is around eight hours. Currently, the existing bus service between Udaipur and Jaipur takes approximately nine hours.

According to reports, the shorter duration will be as a result of the bus bypassing major cities and making limited stops. Passengers will be picked up and dropped off on the periphery of the city, at bypass points. The bus will not enter the city and have to face traffic congestion. This will not only shorten the travel time but also reduce ticket costs.

A 3x2 seater bus will depart from Udaipur on December 1 at around 1:30 pm and will reach Jaipur by 8:30 pm. From Jaipur the departure timing of the bus will be 2:30 am in the morning. It will reach Udaipur at 9:30 am the same day.

This new service will not only benefit those who are travelling on work but also students. The route of the new bus service will be through Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Vijaynagar, Nasirabad Highway and Kishangarh bypass.
