This year, Udaipur has emerged as the top choice for Diwali destinations. The city ranks alongside Puducherry, Mumbai, Goa, and Jaipur in the top five. Many travellers are also planning to visit international destinations. Dubai is the most preferred choice, followed by Singapore, Bangkok, London, and Mecca.

A recent survey by Booking.com reveals that 77% of Indian travellers are planning a long weekend for Diwali. They are looking to enjoy holidays from October 31 to November 3, 2024. Udaipur stands out as the top trending domestic destination, with Puducherry and Mumbai following closely.

Hotel operators report that bookings have started coming in for hotels and resorts in and around Udaipur. Many Gujaratis visit Nathdwara to see Lord Shrinathji. Afterward, they travel to Kumbhalgarh before arriving in Udaipur, where they enjoy sightseeing and leisure activities.
