Udaipur recently experienced a surge in tourist arrivals, totaling 1.69 lakh visitors. In comparison to September 2023, October witnessed a notable increase, with 8,000 more tourists choosing to explore the city. According to the Tourism Department's data, October welcomed over 1,54,000 domestic tourists to Udaipur, along with 14,535 international visitors. This marked a significant rise from the combined total of 1,61,701 domestic and international tourists who visited Udaipur in September.

The statistics highlight a positive trend in tourism, reflecting an increased interest in Udaipur as a destination for both domestic and international travelers during the month of October. Udaipur experienced a notable influx of tourists during the festive season encompassing Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali. Among these visitors, a significant majority hailed from Gujarat, contributing to the city's increased tourist footfall during these celebrations. The vibrant festivities and cultural attractions during this period likely played a pivotal role in attracting visitors, particularly from the neighboring state of Gujarat.

The Diwali festival in Udaipur this year unfolded as a magnificent celebration, embellishing the markets with enchanting lights and decorations. The Diwali fair emerged as a focal point, attracting a considerable number of tourists and locals alike.
