The tourism season has officially begun in Udaipur, with Diwali marking the biggest festival of the year. Tourists from across the country flock to Udaipur during this festive time, prompting the Ministry of Tourism’s Incredible India campaign and Rajasthan Tourism to enhance their marketing efforts.

Influx of Tourists

Rajasthan is renowned as a winter destination, and significant tourist arrivals commence from Diwali, continuing until Holi in March. Popular destinations in the state include Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Pushkar, and Sawai Madhopur.

Social Media Marketing Initiatives

To attract more visitors, the tourism department is focusing on social media marketing. They are showcasing stunning night views of the City Palace, boating in Lake Pichola, folk dance performances at Bagore Ki Haveli, speed boating at Fatehsagar Lake, and the beautiful fountains of Saheliyon Ki Bari.

Special Diwali Decorations

Shikha Saxena, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, announced that special decorations will be arranged for tourists during Diwali. With administrative support, decorations will adorn intersections, heritage buildings, and popular tourist spots to promote festival tourism.

Special Diwali Packages in Hotels

The hotel industry is also getting involved by offering special Diwali packages. Tourists can choose a 2-night, 3-day package that includes a traditional welcome with aarti and tilak, cultural programs, DJ night, diya and candlelight ceremonies, puppet shows, fireworks, breakfast, and dinner.

These packages are available from November 1 to November 10, ranging from Rs 30,000/- to Rs 100,000/-. Each package includes accommodation and various amenities for two people, making it an attractive option for visitors.
