Renovated to Heritage Hotel in 2011

Consists of 65 heritage rooms and suites

Udaipur's Fateh Prakash Palace Hotel will now be known as Taj Fateh Prakash Palace.  This was declared once the Tata Groups hospitality arm IHCT (Indian Hotels Company Limited) signed a MoU with the Udaipur royalty on taking over the Management and Operations of the Fateh Prakash Palace Hotel, situated on the banks of Lake Picchola.

Fateh Prakash Hotel, is a traditional hotel of the HRH group and consists of 65 traditionally designed rooms and suites.

Fateh Prakash Palace hotel was constructed in the 19th Century under the reign of the then Maharaja of Udaipur, Fateh Singh Mewar, from whom the property gets its name.  This property was constructed to host all royal events of those times. It consists of 65 historical traditionally designed rooms and suites.

Puneet Chatwal, the MD and CEO of IHCT, in a statement, said, "As the pioneers in the Indian Hospitality sector, it is a moment of pride for us to take over the management and operations of Fateh Prakash Palace.". The addition of this hotel in the portfolio of IHCT is a superior value enhancement to the historical and luxury assets of the company.  IHCT now manages and operates four properties in Udaipur.

Fateh Prakash Palace, situated on the banks of historical Lake Picchola was converted into a heritage property and renovated in 2011.  It is situated just 1km from from the city center and 26 km from the Maharana Pratap Airport. Thousands of tourists flock to this 5 Star property all year round.
