Udaipur, April 5, 2025 - The introduction of the proposed Vande Bharat train on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad route is being delayed reportedly owing to an issue involving the Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL).

As per reports, AVVNL is not being able to provide the required power to the Traction Sub Station (TSS) built in Dungarpur as a result of which there is difficulty in operating the high-speed Vande Bharat on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad track.

According to the Udaipur Citizen Society, Indian Railways has already deposited crores of rupees for the electrical connection, but the necessary approval for the required power supply has not yet come through. Railway officials have met with senior AVVNL officials multiple times regarding this issue, but a solution is yet to be found.
