Umrah visa issuance ends March 19, arrivals close April 2, and pilgrims must depart by April 18 ahead of Hajj 2026 preparations
Jan 10, 2026 – Saudi Arabia has officially announced the closing dates for Umrah 2026. According to the calendar for 1447 AH, Umrah visa issuance will close on March 19, 2026. No new visa application will be allowed after this date.
The last date for arrivals of international pilgrims will be April 2, 2026. After this date, pilgrims cannot enter for Umrah even if they hold a visa.
Umrah pilgrims must complete their journey and depart by April 18, 2026.
No extensions will be granted beyond these dates, so early planning is essential. The early closure of Mecca and Medina is to allow authorities to prepare the cities for Hajj 2026.
