States are allowed to develop their own protocols regarding quarantine and isolation as per their assessment.
The basic mandates have to be strictly followed.
The Union Health Ministry revised domestic travel guidelines across the nation. No restrictions have been recommended for inter-state travel with respect to the pandemic.
On Wednesday, the UHM said that states are allowed to develop their own protocols and form their rules with respect to quarantine and isolation. “With a view to facilitating inter-state travel, while observing required precautions, the guidelines for domestic travel via flight, train, ship, or bus inter-state are revised so as to have a uniform protocol for domestic travel across the country,” the ministry said.
The passengers must monitor their own health and travel when they have no symptoms pertaining to Covid-19, as stated in the new guidelines. Covid appropriate behaviour has to be followed which includes maintaining social distancing, correct use of mask, face covers and hand sanitisers/washing of hands.
All passengers must download Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phones. The cabin crew/conductor/TTE etc. must be informed immediately if a passenger develops fever while travelling. If the symptoms develop after reaching the destination, the District Surveillance Officer or the state or national call centre must be informed immediately. Those not wearing face masks or not wearing them in the appropriate way shall not be allowed to travel.
