In an attempt to facilitate exploration into the relatively unexplored remote areas of the North - East states of India, the Indian Railways Tourism arm, IRCTC Tourism has launched its 2 week North East tour package. This tour will be a 14 Day - 15 Nigh package and will begin from New Delhi from November 26. The package has been christened "North-East Discovery: Beyond Guwahati" and will cover the north eastern frontier of India as place that has remained unexplored due to access restrictions over the decades. Assam,. Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya will be covered under this package.

Train Journey will be facilitated on a special tourist train with respectives Cabin class. Boarding will be facilitated at Ghaziabad, TUndla, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna. Route will include Guwahati, Mariani Jn, Naharlagun, Dimapur, Agartala, Guwahati, Delhi.
