Currently Punjab is the only state that has exempted the negative report for vaccinated flyers.
The Aviation Ministry is considering the proposal and the same is likely to be implemented soon.
Aviation industry is suffering a lot since the pandemic era demands a lot of safety rules and regulations. It has just been informed that a proposal is in the pipe line regarding air travel and covid reports and this is quite likely to bring a cheer for both the flyers and the industry.
It has been brought to notice that vaccinated people may not need negative RT-PCR report for flying. This rule applies to domestic flights and the proposal is being genuinely considered by the aviation ministry.
As of now, Punjab is the only state that has exempted vaccinated passengers from producing negative RT-PCR report. The proposal was discussed between airlines and ministry last week and the same is very likely to be accepted.
If the proposal is accepted, the aviation industry will get back on tracks to some extent as it has already suffered losses in the pandemic era. The timelines for the implementation of the proposal have not been made clear since multiple agencies are involved in the decision making and the health ministry also has to clear the proposal before finalising the orders.
