To encourage vaccination, the government is seriously considering that instead of negative report, a person must show vaccination certificates while travelling in train.

More so, the certificate can be shown via Aarogya Setu App.

If you have plans of travelling by train in India, then you might not be required to produce a Covid negative RT-PCR report anymore. But then will that not be risky?

No, it won’t be risky as Indian Railways is thinking about letting go off the negative report, instead passengers would now be required to show their vaccination certificates.

The Indian Railways is sincerely thinking of encouraging vaccination and this step seems to be quite adequate in the present times. The passengers would be required to show the vaccination certificates which may not necessarily be a hard copy but can be shown over the Aarogya Setu App. It may be noted that the Aarogya Setu App also shows the status as “vaccinated” when you have received both the doses of vaccination.

As per sources, this move was suggested to the Ministry of Railways by several states and the development in this direction is likely to be confirmed by June 15.
