The Pro Kabaddi League made its historic debut at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena. The event captured global attention, reaching 14.2 million viewers across India.
The Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground set a new record with 373,691 spectators. This became the largest Test cricket crowd in Australian history and the second-largest worldwide.
Boost in International Tourism
Victoria’s overall international tourism expenditure reached USD 8.8 billion in 2024. This represented a 57% increase from the previous year, highlighting the state’s growing appeal as a global travel destination.
