Finally, Fatehsagar has overflowed. The city and those updated on Udaipur have been waiting for the monsoons for bring in bliss and charm back to the City of Lakes. The Monsoon has not failed and more is yet to come.

In this post, we share the story of the most revered lake of the city of Udaipur – Fatehsagar… from what it was a couple of months ago, to where we have it now.  The videos and pictures consist of contribution from UdaipurTimes reporters and one of the city’s finest photographers, Mufaddal Photowala and Saurabh Jain, who have so willingly agreed to share their work on this platform.

In early August, the waters of Pichchola were released into Fatehsagar, giving it the first breath of fresh water inflow in two years…

Fatehsagar filled up fast with intermittent rains in July and August and then Madar contributed its waters to the most lovable lake of Udaipur.
